MAYOR DAVIS TAPS CROOKED COP TO LEAD MVPD

CROOKED DEPUTY COMMISSIONER RICHARD BURKE WITH
HIS CORRUPT EX-COP SON ROBERT BURKE AND DAD

Mount Vernon residents are still outraged about the sudden and abrupt firing of police commissioner Carl Bell.  Bell a former I.R.S. and D.E.A. agent., tried to straighten out a police department that for decades had been mired with corruption.  From cops selling tips to drug dealers, cops with excessive gambling problems, police brutality, drag racing; you name there wasn’t a crime under the sun that wasn’t committed by an elite pack of rogue police officers.

Mayor Davis’ new appointment to Deputy Commissioner is also a criminal himself.  So who exactly is Deputy Commissioner Richard Burke?  Richard Burke is a corrupt individual that was known for extorting drug dealers in the 80’s and 90’s and initiating gang and turf wars between rival drug dealers to keep his pockets fat. Let’s compare Burke to Vic Mackey.

Detective Victor Samuel "Vic" Mackey, played by Michael Chiklis, is a fictional character and the protagonist of the 7-year FX crime drama series The Shield. Mackey was a corrupt and brutal detective in the Los Angeles Police Department; he stole from drug dealers, routinely beat suspects and committed murder on at least three occasions. While two of the victims were violent gangsters, one was a fellow cop who was secretly working to expose Vic and his unit. Mackey saw his tactics as a means to an end. Burke is a splitting image of Vic Mackey and sources say the FX series was based on Burke and his gang of officers.  On the sitcom The Shield, the rogue officers were known as the “Strike Force.”

Burke was the supervisor of a rogue group of police officers that were indicted by the F.B.I. in a sting involving drug money.  Burke was also in on the scheme but did not get caught in the sting because he was not at work that day.  The police commissioner at the time of the sting was Clyde Isley.  Isley just like Carl Bell was trying to root out the corruption and dirty cops in the Mount Vernon Police Department.  Mayor Ronald Blackwood subsequently fired Clyde Isley because he was informed of the Federal investigation of the corrupt copy. Mayor Davis fired Carl Bell for doing the same thing as news of cops being investigated by the Fed hit City Hall.  History tends to repeat itself.
The crooked cops that were arrested are James Garcia, Frank Lauria, and Lieutenant Robert Astorino; the father of Westchester County Executive Robert Astorino.  Deputy Commissioner Richard Burke put in papers for retirement after the arrests of his protégé’s in 1994.

But it doesn’t stop there.  Deputy Commissioner Richard Burke has raised his sons to be corrupt and abuse the police shield just like him.  Robert Burke, a functioning alcoholic, was arrested in 2007 while he was a member of service at the Mount Vernon Police Department for drag racing on North Macquestern Parkway.  Robert crashed his car while fleeing from a New York State Trooper.  Robert was driving a Ford Mustang that wasn’t street legal. During the high speed pursuit, the State Trooper was injured and had to go to the hospital for treatment.  Taxpayers must now pay this drunk 75% of his pay for the rest of his life because he retired on disability.

The hot rod Mustang Richard was driving was impounded by City Line Towing.  Robert then called on his dad, Deputy Commissioner Richard Burke for help.  Commissioner Burke who was known to hang out and frequent Victor Borcella and Son’s, a body shop and alleged chop shop located at 115 South Terrace Avenue, then made the car disappear from City Line towing.  Sources said that various City Officials knew about the car disappearing and assisted in the criminal cover up.  Sources said the car was brought to Borcella’s shop and “chopped” to pieces.

Robert’s troubles don’t end there.  According to sources, Robert was placed on modified duty for a period of time after his girlfriend filed a complaint with Mount Vernon Police after he threatened her with a gun during a heated argument.  When Mount Vernon Police when to the residence Robert shared with his girlfriend, she pointed them to a stash of illegal painkillers that Robert was allegedly using.  His addiction to these illegal painkillers could be the reason for his irrational thinking and why he feels he can rip and run on Mount Vernon streets at speeds in excess of 100 mph.   The investigation into Robert’s strange behavior and painkiller use was whitewashed and nothing ever came out of it because Robert was one of the good ole’ boys.

In other shocking developments, Deputy Commissioner Robert Burke met with his most corrupt senior officers and gave directives to inquire how information about the corrupt acts of the Mount Vernon Police Department are appearing on this website.  He also told them that we have to find a way to get the publisher Samuel L. Rivers “jammed up” and off the street.  Mount Vernon Exposed takes the position that Federal authorities should now point thier radar to Deputy Commissioner Burke and his corrupt band of thieves.  Rivers told Mount Vernon Exposed that he would not succumb to the intimidation and threatening tactics of the Mount Vernon Police Department and will continue to shine a light on the corruption taking place in the Mount Vernon Police Department.
